Artsy craftsy yousy…in time for Halloween
Calling all repressed artists - I say it’s time to pull those old Steve Maddens out of the Salvation Army bag and have some fun! Remember third grade, when you weren’t worried about making a mistake and drawing outside the lines? It’s time to get back in the game. Get yourself some Elmer’s glue and do a little free form art before you trash those shoes...you have nothing to lose except all those silly rules in your head! My work below includes glue, glitter, maybe a sequin here and there and some acrylic paint from the local art store. Knock yourself out and let your inner artist go wild….
After all, you’re gonna need a visionary to help you with that Halloween costume!
P.S. Note to self, lock cat and/or dog in bedroom before opening glitter.

I call her….”Pink Girl”
soooo - truly - how do you wear her? Bought her at a vintage store on Sunset in Silverlake ages ago….and here she sits - bored - all dressed up nowhere to go. But really, how is she worn….is this right? I thought this little pink girl at least deserved the light of day via the internet - since I’ve kept her holed up in captivity for years……

Downtown, ballet, and ramen

Needing a little break from the computer we headed downtown (Los Angeles) for ramen yesterday. We tried Orochon Ramen which is upstairs at Weller Court in Little Tokyo (tucked away on the 3rd level) - very very yummy and would suggest you try. It’s a little hard to find - but worth the effort - there are outside tables that are pretty cool too.
After that we wandered towards the museum and ended up in a clothing store called Archrival - great store - mainly guy gear - jeans, tees - definitely urban rather than fashionista…..but THIS little downtown fashionista couldn’t get out of there without spotting these very cool BALLERINA and AMMO earrings - check them out if you’re downtown.
Lastly, have you heard about my gorgeous pink studded ballet slippers…

Purple Prada on Prince's Birthday

I DID IT!!!!!
What better way to christen my blog....
In honor of PRINCE'S birthday....I went out and bought the Prada "flower heel mary janes" I've been admiring for months. I think the fact that they were sold out everywhere made me realize how badly I wanted them....so I called around and ended up finding them at the Prada store ON SALE. They're so comfy - I was completely surprised. They are PLUSH and PURPLE and PERFECT...
...in honor of his highness' birthday.
